So... between work and school, I COMPLETELY forgot about the monthly events calendar. To be fair, the other day I was all, "Oh, dude, Rian... it's only the 27th, you got a few days!" Thanks a lot February! Anyway, I'm totally going to get it going tonight and it's going to be packed full of awesome things.
With that being said, there are two things going down this weekend that I want to highlight. The first being a wonderful evening (or afternoon) at my favorite place on Earth: the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Dudamel (aka The Dude) will be conducting Stravinsky's Firebird. As you may (or may not) know, The Dude specializes in intense composition. (Most likely because of how radical is curly locks look while he's conducting such pieces.) Anyway, his interpretations of Stravinsky are usually pretty ace. This will be going down all weekend (including tonight!!). Tickets are mostly sold out, but there are a few floating around. I, myself, had a ticket for Sunday, but gave it to a friend (like a DOPE).
The next important event is happening TOMORROW, so seriously don't delay! Out in Santa Ana there's going to be a terrific art show titled Talkin' 'Bout My Generation. The art show features the incredible talents of Michael Harnish and Amy Hood. I share a lot of mutual friends with Ms. Hood and the girl's not only got talent, but just all around seems really radical. Her and her twin sister run a graphic art and design company called Hoodzpah (how brilliant is that name?) I've seen photos of some of the work that will be presented tomorrow night, and I'm stoked to see it in real life. So stoked I haven't made a joke in this paragraph! Just curious (I'm asking for a friend) is it "okay" to be obsessed with people you've never met? Oh, it's not?! Um... never mind. I'm not obsessed with Hoodzpah... (yes I am).

We played the Firebird Suite in Orchestra one summer and it's one of my faves! A day at the concert hall with Dudamel and then our art show? Best day ever! And I totally knew all about you and how cool youwere before we were even online friends, so don't worry, I'm right there with you!
